I started these mitts the week before Christmas. Now don't go misunderstanding me &
think that means that this is a really challenging project....it doesn't & it isn't.
It just means that I get distracted with new projects.
If you have played around with boiled wool, I'm sure you will agree it is quite forgiving
and makes for the perfect fabric for those of us who are not pro seamstresses.
I picked up @ a thrift shop & washed in hot water.
I used firewire as my thread. If you're not a fisher-woman or married to a fisherman,
firewire is also called braided fishing line and is available at your local walmart.
After sewing the seams I added velvet scrap fabric & scrap wool for some fun adornment.
I finished them just in time to wear them about 2 weeks before
