A is for Apron is the first Apron making book
I have owned. The book contains all a girl needs
to know about sewing a new apron. The designs are
great + there are fun pictures of vintage aprons .
But I have decided I kinda like winging it a bit.
So after some thought my daughter & I decided
we would try pulling skirts apart & turning them
into aprons. First, because buying a skirt from a thrift
shop is an inexpensive fabric source and second, half of
the seams are already in place. Your project is quicker
& less pricey. A winning combo!
The steps are easy, depending on the skirt you choose.
We started by cutting along the side seams, then adding a hem to the raw edge.
Next we used the back of the skirt fabric to make our apron ties.
My daughter made this apron completely on her own.
She added the cute ribbon detailed pocket.
It turned out adorable & was a gift for our sweet neighbor.
so who is the cutie model???
